Jose Garcia Murcia, spokesman for the municipal group IU-Greens in the city of Lorca has highlighted this morning at a press conference the commitment of his political education to citizen participation.

The mayor has announced that because of the inactivity of the government team of the Popular Party to implement the Regulation of Citizen Participation, approved in 2011, Izquierda Unida will launch a campaign to collect 3,000 signatures (as required in the aforementioned regulations ) to request that any action that is made in the city, and that affects the cultural or natural heritage of Lorca, go through the public consultation, which would put what the Regulation called "right of public hearing".

This right is provided for lorquina citizens know and can discuss with the municipal institution on matters of municipal action that are particularly significant, and we understand the give the money that is being done to our heritage is.

The campaign announced include contact political training with each and every neighborhood, cultural associations, heritage protection, environmental or landscape that is in Lorca, to publicize the initiative and invite the firm.
