The City Council extends the lorquino green catalog with the planting of 9,600 trees and plants in recent years (18/04/2016)

The Mayor and Councilman Parks and Gardens participate today in a planting day organized by the school Madre de Dios-Mercedarias with students of 1st and 2nd Childhood Education.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with the Councillor for Local Development, Lali Ibarra, participated with 60 students of the Mother of God-Mother Mercy College in a day of planting trees and plants, an act framed within the initiatives the school has developed with the aim of promoting respect for the environment among schoolchildren.

They are students of 1st and 2nd of Early Childhood Education, ie 3 and 4 years.

The mayor explained that the 60 trees that have been donated by the Department of Parks and Gardens through the Municipal Nursery.
