Lorca begins the commemoration of World Book Day with the award ceremony of the XXXI Children's Contest "Maria Fernandez-Moon" (19/04/2016)

1,241 stories of 15 schools participated in the XXXI Children Contest.

It is a contest in which students and Primary Education of our municipality involved.

The Councillor for Education in the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has delivered this morning at the Cultural Center of the City awards XXXI Children's Story Competition "María Fernández-Moon", organized by the Network of Municipal Libraries of Lorca and the participating students and Primary Education.

Montiel stated that "1,232 individual stories and 9 groups have been submitted from 15 schools around the city. A year note with satisfaction as so many students practice writing in the municipality and also do so with great dexterity. the awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 19, coinciding with the scheduled activities for World Book Day, at 11 am in the auditorium of the Cultural Center ".

The award for best collective work classroom for Early Childhood Education was awarded to the play "Little Owl" students CEIP 5 years Torrecilla.

In the category for pupils of 1st and 2nd of Primary Education, the first prize went to Manuel Alcaraz Manzanera, CEIP Villaespesa, for the play "My brother Jose".

Second prize for Irene Sanchez Garcia, Pasic CEIP-Campillo, for "The Storyteller girl."

"Night and Day" by José Ruiz Martínez, a student of Sun City, will receive the third prize.

In this category it has been two finalists: Blanca García Lario, the City of Sun, "The mosquito Pepe" and Paula Martinez Galindo, CEIP Villaespesa for "The Little School Garden".

In the category of students of 3rd and 4th primary, the first prize was "Piodés, the centipede" Javier Burgos Carayol, CEIP San José.

"The clock on the farm" Juan Lucas Fernandez Iglesias, CEIP San Jose, has deserved the second prize.

The third prize went to Francisco Jose Pellicer Sánchez, the College Mother of God, "the sad planet".

The finalists were, in order, Baenas Francisco Fernandez of CEIP Alfonso Garcia Lopez de Purias, for "Let's have fun!"

As for the winners in the category for students in grades 5 and 6 of primary, the winner was Alvaro Alonso Ortiz, the Sun City College, for "Everything will be fine."

"The Christmas tree" Ainhoa ​​Martinez Mendez, student of CEIP Juan Gonzalez, is the third prize.

"Dear Diary" Artero Martinez de Gracia, CEIP Andrés García Soler, is the first runner up, while the second is "My brother and I" Inma González Martínez, also a student of CEIP Andrés García Soler.

As for primary school students with special educational needs, the first prize went to "Fiesta Acuática" collective story of students CEIP Pasic-Campillo.

The first runner is Mari Carmen Fernandez Espin, College student of Mother of God, for the story "Matthias" while the runner is Baraza Ivan Moreno, also of the Mother of God, for his story "station".

The special prize is for illustration Germán Ayala Ayala, the Sun City College, for his work "An unforgettable trip".
