The number of unemployed Lorca continues to fall faster than in the rest of the region and the country, with 10% in the last 12 months.

During the month of April they have created 89 net jobs in the municipality.

Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra, expressed his satisfaction that the unemployment continue to decline in the municipality faster than the regional and national average, down from 10% in the last 12 months.

Ibarra explained that "this has meant that since the end of April 2015 at the same time this year the unemployment rolls have decreased by 667 people in Lorca, after last month have created 89 net jobs in the municipality" .

The mayor stressed that "the best of these data is that reaffirm a positive trend of increasing the creation of top jobs in the same period of the previous annuity, which means that in the last three years, coinciding with the effect of the new reforms launched by the Government of Spain, unemployment has fallen in Lorca in 1,972 people. "

In addition, the annual decline in unemployment in the city has benefited all sectors, while in the last month has focused mainly on agriculture, construction, industrial and persons without previous activity.

"This reflects an economic recovery and a diversification in the specialization of Lorca thanks to the many training programs driven by government," he explained Councilwoman.

Among these sectors highlights the decline in unemployment that still occurs in the construction after the earthquake, where there are now 851 fewer unemployed than 5 years although most public and private buildings are already rehabilitated and rebuilt.

In this sense, Ibarra destacad "This fact explains that the labor of investments to improve public roads that are being made is lorquina".

Eulalia Ibarra has encouraged "all continue doing our part to continue this steady decrease in unemployment, which has led us to have the best unemployment figures since May 2009 and in sectors such as building the best since January 2008 ".
