Lorca hosts a course of municipal resources for reconciliation with gender perspective for staff of ten municipalities (17/05/2016)

Director Generalde Women of the Autonomous Community and the Councillor for Equality Consistory Lorca inaugurated this training activity of 30 hours over six days, which is funded by the European Social Fund.

The Director General of Women of the Autonomous Community, Alicia Barquero, and Councilwoman Equality of the City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra, inaugurated this morning a course on municipal resources for reconciliation with gender perspective in which staff participates in the consistory of Lorca, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Totana, Mazarrón, Alhama de Murcia, Aledo, Librilla, Molina de Segura and Alguazas.

Ibarra thanked the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities Lorca you selected as venue of this training, which lasts 30 hours over six days, and is funded by the European Social Fund.

The course, as the government will be held every Tuesday this month of May and June until 21 next month from 9 to 14:00 hours, being directed at political and technical ten municipalities in the region staff regional repeat this program in Ricote, Cehegín San Javier and staff for other municipalities in the province.

The main objective of this course is to encourage responsibility and reconciliation of personal, family and work life from public administration.

More specifically, it aims to develop individual and group skills that allow municipal staff resources and implementing strategies reconciliation and responsibility, to respond to the reality and needs of each municipality, from a gender perspective.

In addition, with this meeting, approved by the School of Public Administration is designed to facilitate the reconciliation of professional and related fields that may affect improving the employability of women as the key to gender equality elements.

The program includes the analysis of system of socialization as a process of construction of female and male identity, strategies and policies for equal opportunities between women and men, language and non-sexist within the corporate image communication and relationships gender individual, sociological and economic sphere.

Also, participants will gain knowledge about the sexual division of labor, new masculinities, socioeconomic model and balance in the reconciliation and responsibility, legislation and rights of conciliation, the development of programs and projects of municipal conciliation, plus reports gender impact.

This course is led by the techniques of the Directorate General of Women Maria Teresa Bueno and María Teresa Herrero, being the faculty's degree in psychology Raquel Ortiz, a Bachelor of Philosophy and Educational Sciences, José Antonio Ruiz, and the degree in Maria Antonia Muñoz pedagogy.
