Oenegés Councilwoman City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, with the president of the Down Association Lorca, José Ortuño, presented a new solidarity campaign in favor of such entity.

It is an action organized by the Hermanos Millan SL, which will donate one euro for each new tire gained in its establishment.

Councilwoman oenegés explained that this new solidarity campaign to be held during the months of July, August and September, and launches the collective Down Lorca with Hermanos Millan SL aims to continue funding projects, programs and therapies to improve the quality of life of people with Down syndrome and Intellectual Disabilities.

Down Lorca The Association is a non-profit organization with nationwide scope in the region of Lorca that integrates people with Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities and their families.

One of the fundamental objectives of the Partnership is to achieve maximum independence and autonomy of this group, facilitating as standard life possible and getting their family, school, social and labor integration to achieve happiness and full acceptance of the person syndrome Down and Intellectual Disability.

We are talking about a collective formed in 2013 on the initiative of a group of parents of people with Down syndrome, committed and willing to seek solutions that can offer their children the necessary opportunities to develop as individuals with all their rights and create a project life with them to be happy.

Currently serving a total of 17 families and has a staff of seven professionals at its headquarters, located in the residential Plaza Nueva (Avenida Juan Carlos I).

Edil oenegés noted that since the association individual development plan for each person in collaboration with family is designed.

To do this, services such as psychoeducational assessment, overall stimulation, psycho-pedagogical support, leisure activities and free time, speech therapy, support, and family counseling are offered.

Fátima Mínguez, finally, has reported that Hermanos Millan SL is a family company that since 1993 provides services for replacement and repair of tires, accessories, maintenance and washing vehicles, is also a regional leader in the service of new tires.
