The City will invest 265,000 euros in the recovery of historical Fuente del Oro (21/07/2016)

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas Gómez, presented the draft recovery of the Fuente del Oro in which the Consistory will invest 265,000 euros in the Master Plan for Recovery damaged by earthquakes in 2011. La Fuente del Oro was built in the eighteenth century and next to the Source of Caño were responsible for supplying water to the population.

The source was made in an original way by a trough or rectangular laundry, on which the waters poured continuously through a series of pipes.
