Undersecretary of Public Works, Mario Garces, today highlighted new aid from the central government three million for improving municipal road infrastructure in Lorca, following the signing on 21 July an agreement between the Finance Ministry and Public Administration and the Consistory of Lorca.

Through this agreement, which was signed by the Secretary of State of Public Administration and the local mayor, the City will receive 3 million euros as a contribution to the recovery of the municipality, which will focus primarily on more than 50 municipal road infrastructure .

Undersecretary of Public Works has indicated, during his visit to the works of the Central round of evacuation of Lorca, that because of the damage to the city by earthquakes in 2011, the Government of Spain has signed for the second consecutive year, a collaboration agreement with the consistory Lorca.

Through this agreement, as in 2015, the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration will provide, prior to this, 3 million euros to the rehabilitation of municipal infrastructure have been made, they are running or will be done before 31 December, while the Consistory is committed to justify the execution of other works by the same amount.

Among the benefits will this agreement financing is included by the Government of Spain in the cost of drafting of construction of the third phase of the Central Round evacuation, with the entire route of the new road that links be completed the city traffic, and the liquidation of the fourth phase of this round.

The central round of evacuation creates a major road serving evacuation of the city and access of emergency vehicles in case of possible accidents as well as traffic congestion from the center of Lorca, unfolding and extending South Round one extreme to another city ​​with sufficient capacity to channel urban traffic from peri-urban areas and new developments in the garden, in the future, it will connect with the rest of the round as a ring Lorca.

The project includes the addition of new sidewalk and bike path, plus efficient lighting.

In addition, the agreement signed includes the renovation of numerous roads, streets and highways mainly villages.

In a first process it is planned for the settlement of a 50-way connection with an investment that will benefit all districts of the municipality.
