Citizens will present a motion at the October plenary session on asbestos (11/10/2016)

The Municipal Citizens Group will ask at the next regular full month of October, that no demolition is not permitted without a prior report on asbestos.

Antonio Mecca, "will present a motion to prevent further breach of the rules on the withdrawal of elements of existing asbestos in buildings demolitions carried out in our municipality".

Previously Citizens filed written submissions to the Directorate General of Public Health of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, before the Seprona of the Civil Guard and to the City Council, evidencing the existence of debris from asbestos with nurseries, schools and homes in the center of Lorca , requiring them to act and release citizens of a carcinogen first grade.

Also from Citizens has asked the government team a list of demolished buildings after the earthquakes of 2011, companies conducted and what RERA assigned to specialized companies involved.

The mayor explains the outcome of those requests. "We have not so far received any information about it and we are not aware of any case in which it has complied with European legislation 2003 on the protocol to follow in the treatment of asbestos also it has ordered a test of contamination of existing dumps, especially in the crushed and placed in high-risk areas "debris.
