Local Police establishes an extraordinary operation 56 agents to ensure citizens to visit the cemeteries of the municipality in the coming days (28/10/2016)

To attend this event, and for preventive reasons and especially road safety in the areas concerned, it is so from the local police has prepared a device to the public in general and the organization of movements vehicles and people circulation these days.

The Councillor for Citizen Security in the city of Lorca, Maria Belen Perez, reported that the city council, through the Local Police has established a special operational service to ensure the visit of Lorca to different cemeteries of our municipality on the occasion of the eve of the feast of All Saints.

It should be noted, in this regard, that this device involves the participation of 56 agents properly distributed to provide coverage shifts morning and evening, comprising from 8 am to 9 pm uninterruptedly.

Perez Martinez explained that the occasion of the celebration on November 1, the Feast of All Saints, it is expected that thousands of people visit graveyards around the town of Lorca.

In this regard, it has been agreed that the municipal officers attend the vicinity of the inputs and outputs of the cemeteries exposed, always preventively to avoid unwanted delays or withholding.

Maria Belen Perez anticipated that this operation began on Saturday, a day in which four agents serve in the vicinity of the cemetery of San Clemente.

For Sunday it is planned two shifts of four players each, while for Monday involving a patrol UESCARM with two agents on duty tomorrow, which will be relieved in the evening by the usual service UPROL set composed of 6 policemen.

On Tuesday 1 a continuous shift from 7 am to 9 pm on the expected coverage of 16 officers to monitor the access of citizens to the cemetery of San Clemente is established.

Traffic monitoring cemeteries districts will work six policemen, while the cemetery in the neighborhood of San Cristobal will be overseen by nine agents.

In this line the occasion of the visit of thousands of Lorca make the Cemetery of San Clemente on November 1, to expedite and facilitate both on-site parking as the flow of vehicular traffic and pedestrians, the Department of Public Safety and Urban Mobility Lorca City Council through the Local Police, adopted the following traffic measures to improve road safety:

- The ban on parking vehicles in access to Cemetery Road by Lorca Granada, N-340a.

- The use of marked parking spaces that exist in the side of the cemetery, trying not to interrupt or hinder access to our cars or other mobility vehicles.

- Attention to traffic agents will be found there, regulating traffic, to make more comfortable and smooth visit to said enclosure, knowing that there are the aforementioned sides, pedestrian access along with approximately 4,000 parking spaces marked.

- It has also signaled Cemeteries Almendricos, Morata and Ramonete, monitoring traffic at the entrances.

In addition, they are monitoring and controlling the regular peddling flowers, as it is authorized only on November 1, 2015 nearby (esplanade) Cemetery San Clemente.
