Councilman Youth council of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, with Manuel Semitiel, Cazalla Intercultural, presented this morning the "Learning Zone", an initiative funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Commission and managed by the partnership project through the Office of International Mobility Consistory Lorca and which involved oenegés and Centers for Adult Education of Spain (Cazalla Intercultural Center for Adult Education Alto Guadalentín), Italy (Isolaverde and REPLAY Network) and France (Pistes Solidaires Centre Ressources Méditerranée and Illettrisme Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur).

Agustin Llamas explained that "this project takes place in a context where, on the one hand, the need to migrate because of wars, disasters and poverty and on the other hand, increases the hostility of the locals towards foreigners, especially if their religion is Islam. refugees and immigrants seek to adapt as soon as possible to the host country through language courses for foreigners, taught by educators, teachers and volunteers. These classes are the ideal context for introducing non-formal methodology and key skills learning throughout life, and we understand that European society has to make an effort, through projects like this, to send a message of peace and peaceful coexistence. "

Councilman Young said that "the goal of the project is to develop an educational strategy to support the acquisition of skills and abilities migrants and recent refugees to facilitate their adaptation to the host society.
