The documentary "La Niña del Hook" will be screened on November 22 in the Gardens of Lorca within the activities for the 40th anniversary of Eliocroca. The film tells the life of the lorquina Encarna Hernández, player and coach who was one (14/11/2016)

'The girl on the hook' tells the story of Encarna Hernández, who is now 99 years old and is one of the pioneers of Spanish women's basketball.

Lorquina settled in Barcelona, ​​in the 30's, during the Second Republic, she became a woman who defied all the canons.

She was a player of clubs such as the Atlas, Layetano, Education and Leisure and Football Club Barcelona, ​​in addition to becoming the first woman in Spain to be a coach.

Her life has been taken to the cinema in this documentary of 70 minutes, under the direction of the director of Barcelona Raquel Barrera through the production company Ochichornia, which during the last three years has shot in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Prague, and of course , Lorca.

The work presents the life of this pioneer of Spanish basketball, a film that has had the participation of more than two hundred people who have recreated life in Spain in the 30s and 40s, highlighting the participation of the prestigious exjugadora Amaya Valdemoro or The captain of the women's basketball team, Laia Palau.
