Based on the data obtained by the Socialists, the PSOE insists on the more than justified need for Lorca to have a second SUAP immediately to alleviate the saturation presented by the new Primary Care Emergency Service in Lorca-Sutullena
The PSOE Deputy spokesman at the Lorca City Council, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has ensured that the opening of the new SUAP in Sutullena, coupled with the closure of the San Diego Emergency is not serving to alleviate the saturation of emergency services in the city .
In this sense, and according to the data provided by the socialist head, "2016 indicates that it will be even worse than 2015, the latter year that led the worst statistics regarding the attention of health emergencies in Lorca."
This information is preceded by the comparison that the Socialist Edil has made of the indicators of 2016 compared to 2015. Although it is true that in 2016 the number of people served by the SUAP of Lorca has been 1,935 less compared to 2015, it is also It is true that most of this decrease corresponds to the month of May, the month in which the transfer from San Diego to the new dependencies in Sutullena took place.
During that month, the number of people served decreased by 1,100 compared to 2015, a reduction that qualifies as "normal", because at all times "obeys to what is expected by the change of location."
However, Sánchez Jódar wanted to put the accent on the statistics of the months following the change of location of the SUAP of Lorca.
Over the next six months, "the number of people has dropped by barely 800 people over the same period in 2015."
A reduction that "hardly translates into a decrease of 4 people a half a day between one service and another", in his opinion "insignificant" for a service that sees more than 120 people daily, on average.
According to the Socialist Edil, another fact to consider is that if we look at the trend of people served during the months of 2016, the trend as a whole suggests that not only will equal 2015 but will worsen statistics this year.

For all this, says Sánchez Jódar that "arguing that assistance has been reduced is a true fallacy, not to say it is a lie."
Only in the last two months, the numbers of people cared for in the SUAP have even and even surpassed the figures recorded in 2015.
Another of the indicators highlighted by the Socialist Edil through the data that has contributed, has been the increase in the number of health emergencies that have been registered in the SUAP of Lorca.
The figures also confirm that these have not only remained the same as in 2015, but have continued to increase.
In short, Sánchez Jódar has expressed new data that come to confirm each of the political claims and citizens raised during the last months for the Ministry of Health to take into account the health needs of the municipality of Lorca and bet to open a second SUAP In Lorca.
This increase in the trend in the number of emergency care does nothing more than increase the workload on the health personnel working in Lorca's only SUAP.
For all this, and through this data, from the PSOE again demand the PP not to continue neglecting the health needs of Lorca.
