The PSOE will demand in the plenary that the necessary corrective measures be taken so that the new lawn of the Municipal Stadium Francisco Artés Carrasco meets the necessary conditions that guarantee both the safety of the athletes and the good sport practice.

The PSOE Spokesman in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has announced that his group will demand in the next plenary session that the Department of Sports reports on the unfortunate state that, despite the recent remodeling of the pitch of the Municipal Stadium Francisco Artés Carrasco, presents the lawn of these facilities.

Mateos has denounced that, after the first party that hosted this stadium after the renovation of the lawn of Artés Carrasco "it was discovered that the newly replanted grass appeared too deteriorated appearance at the end of the game."

In fact, he says "since the very beginning of the game, it was possible to check the detachment of numerous stretches of grass when they were stepped on by the players."

This fact, according to Mateos "took us at first to doubt that the field was in perfect conditions for its use".

Some doubts that, he says, "were confirmed last Sunday, as the image was repeated after the celebration of the last game."

Mateos believes that "we can not continue offering this image of neglect and lack of care to municipal facilities, in this case, about the stadium that is considered the holy sign of municipal and regional football."

In this sense, and along with this complaint, the socialist responsible has re-listed the numerous flaws that "result in an image neither desired nor expected for a facility such as the one represented by Artés Carrasco."
