The City of Lorca will improve streets, detour and the road to Zarcilla de Ramos Cemetery and create a bike lane before the end of the year (24/11/2016)

The works will be concluded before the end of the year and will involve an investment of 60,000 euros subsidized by the Spanish Government's Ministry of Public Administration, and will include improvement of the pavement of La Yesera, Las Malenas and Nueva streets.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councilor for Works of the City Council, Eulalia Ibarra, presented last night to the residents of Zarcilla de Ramos the investment that has begun to make the Consistory in this hamlet thanks to the agreement for repair of infrastructure signed with the Ministry of Public Administration of the Government of Spain and which will be concluded before the end of the year.

Afterwards, reflective paint will be placed on the bike lane, including painting of the central axis, drawing of bicycles every 50 meters approximately, and the linear road mark of 10cm wide with reflective paint.

In addition, it will undertake the asphalting of the streets La Yesera, Las Malenas and Nueva, which is in poor condition.

These actions involve an investment of 60,000 euros.

The first mayor recalled that during this year the City Council has also made the conditioning of the road Zarcilla de Ramos to La Parroquia, with an investment of 21,114.91 euros thanks to the subsidy of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure.

This action involved the milling and patching with hot bituminous mix, patchwork and repair of pavement with hot asphalt spraying, as well as mowing and cleaning of gutters, as well as the linear road mark of 10cm width with reflective paint.

Francisco Jodar recalled that under his mandate has built the Emergency Base Zarcilla de Ramos, has completely remodeled the Civic Center of the hamlet, renovated children's games, built the stand and installed lighting on the football field, as well as lighting Public in the Zarcilla de Ramos ring road, Mill Extension Road, La Paca Road, Zarcilla de Ramos exits to El Rincón and El Pantano and on the Road between La Paca Road and exit to Rincón.
