The PSOE requests improvements to ensure mobility and safety on public roads in the city Alert the PP government team of the existence of several points that seriously affect the accessibility of pedestrians and people with reduced mobility. (03/12/2016)

For this reason, the PSOE requests immediate improvements before having to regret some misfortune |

The councilor of the PSOE in the city of Lorca, María Antonia García Jiménez has asked the government team to carry out various actions in various parts of the city center with the aim of ensuring that the consistory ensures accessibility, mobility and security of Pedestrians and people with reduced mobility.

This demand raised by the PSOE comes after verifying, based on several citizen complaints arrived at the Socialist Municipal Group, the existence of "several dangers on the public road that obstruct mobility and that, therefore, can become cause of possible accidents Or harm to people ".

García Jiménez has denounced that for months, a large block of electrical and telecommunications wiring hangs from the facade of one of the buildings located in Plaza Colón, specifically at the height of number 7. This "dangerously detached" wiring is located Also "piled" on the sidewalk of the public road, bordering the entire perimeter of the house.

In this sense, the socialist councilor warns that this situation "poses a real danger", as well as an obstacle to the passage of pedestrians and people with reduced mobility.

From the PSOE they remember that they already made aware of this situation to the consistory, in particular, by means of a writing directed to the Mayor's Office last 27 of October.

However, they regret not having had an answer.

For this reason, a month later, the PSOE demands that the consistory do not continue to neglect this situation, and require the responsible companies or the owner of the house to take charge of the removal of this wiring.

On the other hand, the Edil has also reported that recently, and following several citizen complaints, the Socialist Group requested in writing the settlement of the pavement Alporchones Street.

In particular, García Jiménez warned of the need to act on the great iron letters that decorate the firm of this pedestrian street, since "the passage of time, coupled with political laziness have caused them to come off firmly, becoming a ' Step 'that causes stumbles and has already caused the fall of several pedestrians, with significant personal injury.

After this denunciation, he reports that the consistory acted in a "very superficial" way because the work done, he says "have not served anything."

"The letters adds - continue to present the same dangerous state today."

For this reason, the Edil returns to claim "rigor and trade" the government team to act in accordance with the degree of deterioration and danger that exists in the firm of this pedestrian street, so crowded.

Coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is held this weekend, the council has urged the City of Lorca to have special sensitivity to the complaints raised by this group, as the nearest town hall Must be guaranteed 365 days a year to preserve accessibility and safety on the public road, and in this sense, to correct those flaws, such as those denounced today, which represent "real barriers" for the mobility of people.
