The Department of Sports carries out more than 200 maintenance actions during the year 2016 to guarantee the best state in the sports infrastructures of the municipality (27/12/2016)

The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez Carrasco, has made a balance of the different actions carried out during 2016 with the aim of offering users the municipal infrastructure in the best state.

Specifically, more than 200 preventive and corrective maintenance actions have been carried out.

Martínez Carrasco emphasized that "we have a wide network of sports facilities in our municipality of which we have to feel proud. But having so many infrastructures also means to carry out a constant maintenance work to make small repairs and improvements that allow to remedy Those damages that could be dangerous for the users, as well as actions of preventive maintenance ".

With regard to this type of maintenance, it should be noted that all sports facilities of the City Council have been adapted to Rd 865/2003 for the prevention of legionellosis.

This action has been managed by the Department of Health and has been carried out through an approved company.

It has worked in 14 facilities, so all sports facilities are already adapted to the regulations.

The Edil said that "in terms of corrective maintenance, there have been 125 performances in municipal sports facilities. ".
