Rosana Navarro consolidates the Subsecretaría de Fomento as interlocutor between Lorca and the Government of Spain (28/12/2016)

The mayor of Lorca and several city councilors met yesterday at the Ministry of Development with the new head of this department to continue advancing in the commitments of the Executive of Mariano Rajoy with the recovery of the municipality after the earthquakes of 2011.

The recently appointed Deputy Minister of Public Works of the Government of Spain, Rosana Navarro, met yesterday afternoon with the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jódar, in order to continue advancing in the commitments acquired by the Executive of Mariano Rajoy with the City of Sol for its recovery from the damages caused by the earthquakes of 2011.

Navarro confirmed that his department will continue to be "the ally of the Lorca and its direct interlocutor with the rest of the Central Government, to continue adapting policies and investments to the needs of the city."

In this regard, the mayor expressed his "satisfaction with the willingness of the new undersecretary of State to help us that the general budgets for 2017 and 2018 reflect the demands of the municipality, following the trail left by his predecessor Mario Garcés."

During this first meeting of contact were dealt with issues such as the culmination of the reconstruction of the Barrio de San Fernando and the subsidy for the improvement of municipal infrastructure, among other issues of interest to Lorca.

Also present at the meeting were the councilors of Presidency, Works and Employment, Eulalia Ibarra;

Of Urbanism and Recovery after the earthquakes, Saturnina Martínez;

And Economy and Finance, Fulgencio Gil.
