The Councilor of Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez Carrasco, has announced that "751 riders have registered to participate in the IV San Silvestro City of Lorca to be held this Saturday with departure at 11 hours from the Plaza de Calderón and Which is made for the benefit of AEMA III within the #retoyosipuedo 2017 ".
The Edil said that "this is an absolute record and, in fact, the reception has been so good that we decided to extend the registration period, since we are aware that there are still people interested in signing up. The race will take face-to-face registrations while the collection office is open. Those registered the same morning will not count for the classification, but they will participate in the raffle of gifts and can consult their times.
The office, located on the ground floor of the Cultural Center, will be open from 9.30 am for the latest inscriptions and for the collection of t-shirts and bibs.
There will also be a cloakroom service.
The people who go in disguise will not need to make a special registration since the jury will be in charge of valuing the costumes during the race.
At 11 o'clock, the race of 5.6 km (from cadets to veterans) will start from Lope Gisbert at the height of the church of San Mateo, visiting Principe Alfonso, Santa Paula, Ovalo, Avda. Portugal, Nogalte, Corredera, Juan de Toledo, Lope Gisbert, Plaza de Calderón (1st round), Prince Alfonso, Santa Paula, Ovalo, Jerónimo Santa Fe, Rotonda San José, Pérez Casas, Nogalte, Corredera, Alamo Square, Spain Square, Santiago Street, Marsilla, Plaza Ibreño , Gigante Street, La Merced, Ctra. Parroquia, La Alberca Bridge, Santo Domingo and Lope Gisbert until reaching the height of San Mateo where the goal will be installed.
Then the race for the backpacks, then the one for fry and children, and finally, prebenjamines and benjamines.
Showers for runners wishing to use this service will be available at the Felipe VI Sports Complex until 13.30.
The prize giving, including the best costumes, and the drawing of gifts will be celebrated from 12.30 in the hall of the Cultural Center, being obligatory the presence of the winners in order to receive their prize or gift.
