The PSOE offers the government team proposals to find sites where to locate the future health center in San Cristóbal (12/01/2017)

They once again demand the urgent need for Jódar to "move the card and give all municipal land so that Sanidad can build the new health center in San Cristóbal", which has been planned by CARM since 2005

The councilors of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez and David Romera, have presented the information campaign with which they are publicizing the study that the Municipal Socialist Group has developed to propose to the government team of the Partido Popular possible locations for the Future construction of the Lorca-San Cristóbal health center.

Socialists have presented to the media an information form where their proposals "based on the preferences of neighbors, merchants and groups" are patented and adding, "to the urban conditions of each zone."

In this sense, David Romera has stated that the future construction of a new Health Center and its corresponding Emergency Service is "a unique opportunity for the Barrio area to have a new public service that improves the quality of life of its neighbors After the last blows that have meant the closing of medical consultations in the afternoon, the closure of the Emergency Department of San Diego and the closure of the Barracks of the Local Police.

Therefore, it considers "of vital importance" that the situation of the future health facility is "the most suitable, the most comfortable and the most functional to revitalize this area of Lorca so in need of new investments in social equipment."

From the PSOE they propose five possible sites distributed in different areas of the neighborhood of San Cristóbal "because" they are located in densely populated areas and have an easy accessibility. "At the same time, David Romera adds that with the construction of the new Center "Regeneration of degraded urban areas should be pursued, serving as a nucleus for the enhancement of the commercial and services sector as it is a focus of attraction for thousands of people, and the revaluation of the surrounding urban space." Proposed as possible sites the axis of the street San Fernando and the Bridge of the Cars next to the channel of the river (area very degraded after an industrial past not resolved urbanistic) in the nerve center of San Cristóbal, or the Eastern zone around the Campus University and the Ramblilla of Tissue to also serve the neighborhoods of Los Angeles and Apolonia.

Marisol Sanchez has once again justified the "more than obvious need" to build a new health center in the area of San Cristóbal and its surroundings.

The mayor has denounced the incapacity of the Mayor and his government teams as he says that "they have done nothing during the more than 10 years that have passed since Sanidad anticipated the need to unfold the area of Lorca-San Diego with the construction of a New health center in San Cristóbal ".

Sánchez recalled with information that Lorca-San Diego is the area of health that "greater overcrowding of patients supports daily" of other areas of the municipality and the Region.

The council has recalled that San Diego already serves more than 28,600 posters, according to CARM sources.

1986 patients per family doctor, well above the average of 1453 users per professional according to the data in the whole of area III, and worryingly superior to what was recommended and agreed by the Ministry of Health itself in 2007, which established as the maximum limit A quota of 1200 patients per doctor.

In fact, he remembers that he signed it before the Platform 10 minutes, integrated by sectors and groups of primary care.

In addition, he recalls that this overcrowding "is not only due to a population increase but is a direct consequence of the continuous cuts applied by the PP in San Diego, as both the closure of the Emergency Department and the elimination of the consultations in the afternoon requires that The more than 28,600 users have to go to their center in a single schedule tomorrow for all.

With its proposals, within its loyal, constructive and responsible opposition, assures the socialist mayor that from the PSOE they intend to "put the batteries and demand the PP to move tab" so that once and for all put at the disposal of the Ministry land Municipalities necessary to build the new health center, adding that "as long as Jódar and his team continue without yielding the land, Sanidad will have the perfect excuse not to contemplate not a single euro to the construction of this medical center, as they have done in Its Regional Budgets of 2017 ".
