The Ministry of Environment makes clear to the PP after revealing that the direct responsibility for the abandonment of the Ecopark of Coy is the City of Lorca (06/02/2017)

Sánchez Jódar will address the General Directorate of the Environment through a letter, to inform the current situation of "insalubrity, ruin and abandonment" presented by Ecopark de Coy.

In addition, demand the City of Lorca through the municipal company Limusa recover this clean point for usefulness of the residents of the high districts, and also as an opportunity to generate employment.

The Vice-speaker of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has offered the media the answer that the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment gave the question posed by the Representative Isabel Casalduero in the Regional Assembly, with which The Socialists were interested in the controls that CARM had made in relation to the use and maintenance of the Ecoparque de Coy, abandoned since it was inaugurated six years ago.

This question, raised by the Socialist Parliamentary Group, was formulated after the public denunciation that the mayor Marisol Sánchez Jódar made about the unfortunate state of abandonment that presents this clean point constructed in the hamlet of Coy in 2010 for a sum of 208,797 Euros.

In order to demand responsibility, the Socialists wanted to see who has been directly responsible for the "bad management" for which this Ecoparque has been committed to the "most absolute of the ruins."

In that response, the Councilor, Adela Martinez-Cachá "leaves in evidence" the Mayor of Lorca and his government team after ensuring that "the implementation and correct maintenance of the facilities falls on the Local Entity by the City Council- Recipient of goods in kind ".

Specifically, the Minister asserts that "on February 5, 2015, the Directorate General for the Environment required the City of Lorca to adapt the municipal ecoparques to the authorization regime determined in the Integrated Environmental Protection Act without until the Date there is a record of that request. "

In view of this requirement that the Directorate General for the Environment did "no response from the town hall", the Socialist Group will address a formal letter to this body, to convey the current situation of "insalubrity, ruin and abandonment" of these facilities , So that again, this entity dependent on the Ministry of Environment retake "letters in the matter" and force the government team to undertake so many actions are necessary to recover these facilities.

At the same time, from the Socialist Group demand that the City of Lorca through the municipal company Limusa regain the management of this clean point, to serve the neighbors and neighbors of the high districts and also as an opportunity to generate employment , With the hiring of personnel of the municipality for this purpose.
