The Mayor of Lorca congratulates the winners of the 9th Narrative Contest for Secondary Education "Premio Ãngeles Pascual" (09/02/2017)

During the awards ceremony, Francisco Jodar announced that "next year will be able to participate in this event, which will mark its tenth anniversary, students of Compulsory Secondary Education in the whole Guadalentín region, specifically Totana, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla, Aledo and Mazarrón, with which we will have a much more participatory contest "

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, attended yesterday the awards ceremony to the winners of the 9th Narrative Contest for Secondary Education "Premio Ángeles Pascual", in which have participated 101 narratives of students of compulsory secondary education of the IES center San Juan Bosco, Colegio Ciudad del Sol, IES Francisco Ros Giner, IES Prince of Asturias and College San Francisco de Asís.

The prize in the 1st and 2nd year category of ESO has been for Ana Isabel García Simón, IES student Ramón Arcas Meca, for her short story "Fotografíame Madrid".

The second prize has corresponded to the work "Looking for the inspiration", of Miguel González Garci'a, student also of the IES Ramón Arcas Mecca.

The third prize has been for the student of the same center María Miñarro Porlán for "Un unforgettable".

Also within this category have been finalists Carmen Peñarrubia de Paco, of the College San Francisco de Asís, for the story "Apprentice of Santa Claus", Maria Dolores Sánchez Marín, Arcas Meca, for "The world of Pablo" and David Valera Laborda , Also of Arcas Mecca, for "As Each".

In the category for 3rd and 4th year ESO students, Vicente Millán Re, a student of the College of St. Francis of Assisi, was awarded the first prize for the story "The children of Aleppo do not cry".

The story "The house of my grandmother" by María Jiménez Muñoz, student of the College of St. Francis of Assisi, has won the second prize.

The third prize has been for the story "Something wonderful is going to happen" by Jorge Sánchez Comas, student of the College San Francisco de Asís.

The finalists in this category have been Mª Carmen Sánchez Lasso, from San Juan Bosco, with the story "El miedo de Boo" and Teresa Lozoya Esteban, from IES Ros Giner, with her story "That girl".

The Mayor of Lorca, during the realization of this act, announced that "next year this literary contest will mark its tenth anniversary, therefore, we want to take a step further in its consolidation and, so, next year, students from Secondary Education Obligatory of the whole Guadalentín Region, specifically of those populations that are part of the Center of Professors and Resources of Lorca.Thus next year we will receive stories from Totana, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla, Aledo And Mazarrón, with which we will have a much more participatory contest ".

The jury of this contest, organized by the Municipal Libraries of Lorca, was formed by the Councilor for Education and University of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, the teacher of Primary Education Maria Jose Egea, secondary school teacher Fernando Cuadrado, the student of Baccalaureate and writer Juan Albarracín Edo and the librarians Susana de Torres and Luisa María García.

The contest is a tribute to the historic teacher of the Institutes Ibáñez Martín and Ros Giner, director of the Municipal Library for more than 30 years and the daughter of Lorca, Ms. Ángeles Pascual, who died last year.
