Lorca is added again this year to the Earth Hour by turning off the Castle and the mansion of Huerto Ruano (24/03/2017)

This initiative marks a decade since it began to be realized under the promotion of WWF.

From the City Hall all citizens are invited to join the proposal carrying out the symbolic gesture of turning off the light for an hour as a sample of the fight against climate change.

The Councilor for the Environment in the City of Lorca, Satur Martínez, has reported that the Municipal Consistory is going to adhere to the Earth Hour initiative turning off Saturday morning between 20:30 and 21:30 the ornamental lighting of two buildings As emblematic as the case of the Castle of our city and the palace of Huerto Ruano.

Satur Martínez explained that this measure, which has already been adopted in previous years as a sign of commitment to the fight against climate change, has as its motto this year "The planet first, let no one stop you."
