The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Andrea Periago has denounced the dismissal of the only occupational therapist that counted the residence of the elderly Domingo Sastre.
The Edil asks the IMAS that the hiring of a new therapist to fill this vacancy is not delayed in time.
Andrea Periago demands speed and efficiency to the Regional Government to avoid repeating scenarios like the one that a few months ago also denounced from the Socialist Group.
He recalled that the Murciano Institute of Social Care maintained "for weeks" the almost 100 users of the residence Domingo Sastre "without the only geriatric doctor they counted on";
Everything, says, due to the "bad planning" of this public body when it comes to covering the sickness staff.
In this sense, he emphasized that it was after the Socialist Group's public pressure that the IMAS reacted and assigned a new doctor to the residents of Domingo Sastre.
The councilor of the PSOE requires the City of Lorca to turn over with this request, so that the IMAS does not delay in time the hiring of these staff, and thus, ensure continuity in the provision of this service, "not to alter The normality in the quality of care received by the elderly in the residence Domingo Sastre de Lorca.
Advances in the residence Domingo Sastre after the pressure and the work of the PSOE
In addition to getting the Domingo Sastre residence to return to its geriatric doctor after weeks without the residents had this benefit, the PSOE has achieved "certain advances" after the successive public denunciations and initiatives raised during the last months.
