More than 1200 children know the Holy Week with GuiAzul (05/04/2017)

GuiAzul, the group of tourist guides of the Paso Azul, is developing during the last dates a series of activities in the schools of the municipality aimed at bringing Holy Week to the children of Lorca.

This initiative, which is celebrating its third consecutive year, has visited in this edition eight educational centers of the municipality, among which are CP San Fernando, CP Narciso Yepes, CP San José, CP Pérez de Hita, CP Virgen de las Huertas, CP Andrés García Soler , CP Villaespesa and CC Madre de Dios (MM Mercedarias);

Participating in the different sessions more than 1200 students between 3 and 12 years.

Through images of all the brotherhoods, games, music and promotional videos of Holy Week, the blue guides teach the value of Lorca traditions, the jewels of Lorca embroidery, the characters that parade in the processions and the symbolism that hides Behind each stitch.

Thanks to the initiative of GuiAzul, it is possible to make known in the classroom what children will see and feel on the street in just a few weeks.

In fact, among their games are the acclaimed "game of cheers" where the younger schoolchildren defend their colors with handkerchiefs, throw "cheers" to see their brotherhoods in the videos or, as a novelty, the "trivial" Week Santa for the elderly, where they apply what was learned during the exhibition, solving questions about our Easter (acts, images, characters ...)

The most important part of the activity is to learn to value the work that the embroiderers do, which is carried out through the teachings of an Egyptian character who explains how he has embroidered the costume he wears.

In addition, all the questions raised by the schoolchildren on all aspects concerning our Holy Week are answered.

Through the activity of GuiAzul the passion will continue to arrive at the aashashasta next Thursday of Serenata, when the last sessions will be held with the Lorca schools that have trusted in GuiAzul to bring Holy Week to their students.

With this interesting initiative that so much lorquino schoolchildren like, GuiAzul continues advancing in its objective of promoting and spreading Lorca's Holy Week and its artistic jewels.

In fact, it should be remembered that the young people who are part of this group, in addition to exercising guides of the exhibition installed in the church of San Francisco during Holy Week and of MASS itself, have developed other activities such as "Christmas at MASS", in Its second edition this year, with which they celebrated gymkhana, artistic workshop, cinephorum and other fun activities aimed at the little ones during the holiday season.
