María Ángeles Mazuecos demands that Education take advantage of the Easter holidays to equip the new furniture with the Children's pavilion and thus ensure that more than 100 schoolchildren can start receiving their classes in the new pavilion from the third quarter

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has denounced the unfortunate conditions in which the more than 100 school children of the six units of Early Childhood Education CEIP Pasico Campillo de Lorca have been receiving their classes, as they are forced to Remain in the old building of the center, whose construction dates from the 60s of last century, although the works of the new children's ward were terminated weeks ago.

Therefore, they ask that Education work during Easter to match the beginning of the third quarter with the "expected return" of the students to the new pavilion.

Mazuecos has informed that the construction works of the new children's pavilion of CEIP Pasico Campillo have been received since last February 23.

Therefore, it is considered "incomprehensible" that the new building remains closed, if as stated in the same act of reception of the works "are in good condition" and "can be delivered for public use or corresponding service."

María Ángeles Mazuecos denounces that Education has not yet provided the necessary furniture to the new children's pavilion, a situation that is motivating the center not to open its doors.

Therefore, from the Socialist Group show their support to the Department of Education and expect to require the Council to immediately implement these needs, so that these children may begin to receive their classes in the new center from the third quarter.

Mazuecos insists that during the Easter holidays "there is more than enough time to prepare the new center, if there really is the will in Education to end the long waits that parents, teachers and students have been enduring for years" .

He adds that "there should be no reason to postpone the return to the new center until the next course, especially when the conditions in which these students are receiving their classes are at stake."
