The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, announced the celebration this morning of a new "Encounter with author," initiative of the Municipal Libraries in collaboration, this time, with the Editorial EDEBÉ.
Edil said that "today we had the privilege of having the writer Luis Leante who has talked about his book" Flee without looking back "to 400 students in grades 3 and 4. The meeting took place in the Hall Of Cultural Center Acts in the morning school hours ".
Luis Leante was born in Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia) in 1963. He graduated in Classical Philology and for twenty years he was an institute teacher.
He published his first novel, "Red Thursday Road," at the age of twenty.
This short novel is a rural drama that unfolds in the Spanish postwar period with the theme of the film as a backdrop, located in Caravaca de la Cruz.
In 2007 he won the Alfaguara Prize for his novel "Mira si yo te querré".
This novel made known to the public and consecrated him as a writer, selling in more than forty countries.
He has also made inroads into the youth novel.
Despite having won half a hundred story awards, he has only published two short story books.
He currently teaches at the City of Light Cinema School in Alicante.
He has published novels for children and adults.
He has written screenplays and some of his stories have been adapted to the big screen.
