The PSOE shows that three rulings of the TSJ confirm sanctions to the City of Lorca for illegal discharges to public channels (26/04/2017)

Navarro demands that the PP promote the WWTP and the completion of the remaining necessary works to complete the network of sanitation and purification in the municipality, and put an end to this unfortunate situation, both because of the discrimination that the government team maintains towards the Districts of Coy, Las Terreras, Ramonete, Avilés or La Torrecilla, as well as for the clear detriment that these 11,000 euros of fines plus judicial costs will mean for the battered municipal coffers

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has informed that the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) were imposed 11,000 euros for three fines for illegal spills to the City of Lorca.

Fines that have now confirmed three judgments of the High Court of Justice (TSJ) and, in addition, impose the judicial costs of proceedings to the Consistory.

The Socialist mayor has stated that the Local Government Board dated April 7, 2017 took cognizance of these three convictions.

Navarro believes that this recidivism in illegal dumping is an "attack against public health" and a "lack of attention" to the districts, since the three discharges have been caused in rivers outside the urban area.

Specifically, in the Rambla Alta (Torrecilla), Rambla de Ramonete and the Barranco del Pardo, hamlet of Avilés.

In addition, Navarro has reported that the sentences of the Litigation Room of the TSJ (specifically the judgment 1001/2016, 1016/2016 and 834/2016) impose the costs of the three proceedings to the City of Lorca.

He denounced that these fines are going to be a "new damage to the municipal coffers" because of the "negligence" of the government team of the Popular Party in solving the issue of water purification and control of discharges to public channels.

In fact, remember that this situation is added to the similar problems that have been occurring in other parts of our municipality as in Coy, Las Terreras or the Rambla de Caravaca.

From the Socialist Group, they show that the fines amount to 3,000 in the case of Avilés, and 4,000 euros each in the other two cases.

A total of 11,000 euros, to which should be added the procedural costs.

In the content of penalties, mention is also made of the order that is made for the definitive cessation of discharges, an issue says that "is not currently enforced" and that, he warns "can suppose that fines continue to be imposed against the City of Lorca , Damaging the environment and public health, and non-compliance with environmental and water regulations. "

For this reason, Navarro demands that the PP take immediate measures, starting with the impulse to the Water Treatment Plants (EDAR) and other necessary works pending, to complete the network of sanitation and purification and put an end to this "regrettable Situation of discrimination towards the affected districts "such as Coy, Las Terreras, Ramonete, Avilés or La Torrecilla, and which also threatens the already battered municipal economy.
