The Vice-speaker of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar denounces accessibility problems in the hospital pharmacy of Rafael Méndez.

It is the pharmacy in which the users of the hospital, and under medical prescription, go to obtain specific treatments that, as a rule, are not dispensed in the usual pharmacies.

Sánchez Jódar has referred to the complaints of numerous patients and users, annoyed by the obstacles that must be overcome daily to be able to access these dependencies in search of their medicines.

In particular, and for months, there have been numerous fences, containers, plastics and other objects that accumulate in the immediate vicinity of the pharmacy and which, in fact, oblige users, especially those with disabilities and / or reduced mobility, to Having to face a "real yincana" to gain access to its interior.

These obstacles are a consequence of the works that have been carried out for several months in the hospital and, in particular, in the pharmacy environment.

Works that, irresponsibly, are not respecting the relevant accessibility conditions "to facilitate the movement of users to the pharmacy."

As can be seen in the images accompanying the complaint, the works do not respect a pedestrian itinerary accessible by the accumulation of obstacles that "dirty the environment and hinder the mobility of people."

Marisol Sánchez adds that the lack of signaling also does not favor mobility and access to the enclosure, as it ensures that throughout the perimeter of the hospital "there are no signs indicating the location of this pharmacy."

For all this, and to improve the accessibility of users to the hospital pharmacy of Rafael Méndez, Sánchez Jódar has requested the conditioning and cleaning of their access, as well as improvements in signage that inform users about their location.

To this end, the socialist councilor asks health officials to get to work so that the execution of the works is "compatible and respectful" with the passage of users and patients of the pharmacy.

Likewise, it requests that the works contemplate the installation of new indicators to facilitate the location of the pharmacy and the knowledge of its location to the people.
