The Social Emergency Unit (UES) of the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in Lorca launches the campaign "Wave of Heat, Protégete del Sol".
Said campaign is primarily aimed at the most vulnerable groups, especially homeless and transients, etc., which, because of their vulnerable situation, become extremely vulnerable to the arrival of high temperatures and torrid days, as they do not have Of a home or shelter that shelters them, at least, from the hours of highest incidence of ultraviolet rays.
During the period that this campaign is active, there will be different activities, talks, workshops, advice and follow-up on what and how to combat the effects of this summer date and the high temperatures that accompany it, always trying to adapt these actions to the environment and environment In which these neighbors live.
Our service of information and advice will be at the disposal of all citizens and travelers who demand it.
The campaign will be held from June to September on alternate days and in various places in the city and isolated points of the municipality of Lorca, where some of these users are located.
Once again, we call on the citizens to help us to alleviate and improve the situation of these people with a gesture of solidarity, as easy as buying a ticket of the Golden Sweepstakes Spanish Red Cross for just € 5.
With this we will be able to contribute to your misfortune, to confront a little better the mentioned dates and effects, since with these funds we can buy and distribute more number of aid to these groups and other neighbors of the municipality.
