Subsidy to the UMU Veterinary Hospital for the practical training of its students

The Governing Council has approved, at the proposal of the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise, a grant of 6,000 euros to the Clinical Veterinary Foundation of the University of Murcia (UMU), to contribute to the implementation of clinical practices of students of the Veterinary Degree, through the financing of reagents and disposable surgical material for these practices.

The University of Murcia built the Veterinary Hospital for the practical training of its students with a hospital structure similar to veterinary hospitals of other Spanish and foreign universities.

This hospital was a quality leap in the practical training of students, who from 1986 to 1999 performed these practices exclusively in the clinical services of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and in clinics and external consultations.

The Clinical Veterinary Hospital is a primordial clinical infrastructure for the development of regional livestock, provides a quality plus to veterinary education and contributes to increase regional competitiveness.
