The famous BBC presenters David Myers and Simon "Si" King, known as the Hairy Bikers, are currently in the Castle of Lorca recording a television program for the BBC that delves into the roots of Mediterranean culture and gastronomy .
Hairy Bikers are a duo of presenters, showmans and cooks well known in the UK for their entertaining television programs and their love of gastronomy.
Together they have published several recipe books and now they are in the Castle of Lorca cooking their next challenge, to reach the origins of our culture.
The tour began in Italy and has already passed the French coast, Baleares, Valencia, Elche and now Lorca.
Even the City of the Sun has been attracted by the rich history as a border town of civilizations, as well as its long Arab tradition that has undoubtedly left a mark on our cuisine.
But not only the gastronomy is what has brought them here, also the flamenco and its origin linked to our Arab past.
The Hairy Bikers will make different Mediterranean recipes inspired by the lorquina culture in a unique enclave like the one of the Fortress of the Sun, where also they will realize interviews and flamenco shows.
The program is scheduled to be broadcast in February 2018.
