The Councilor for Sports has recalled that "Lorca is preparing to host the second championship in Spain School Age, since on the weekend of 17 and 18 June more than 700 athletes were in Lorca in the National Athletics Cadet by Selections. With 150 participants in the women's squad, the selections of La Rioja, Ceuta Canarias, Asturias, Cantabria, Comunidad Valenciana, Aragón, Extremadura, Andalucía, Madrid, Murcia, Baleares, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha and País Vasco have been framed. The Director General of Sports, for his part, stressed that "the Region of Murcia is the Autonomous Community that more championships of Spain in School Age will host during this year 2017, with a total of four: table tennis in Murcia, Badminton in Cartagena and athletics and beach volleyball in Lorca ".
