240 teachers from the Region receive training in emotional intelligence in Lorca (28/06/2017)

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, through the Center for Teachers and Resources (CPR), runs the conference 'Intelligence and cooperative learning' in which 240 teachers from the Region of Murcia participate.

The director general of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno, inaugurated the days that are developed in Lorca and include lectures and practical workshops on positive psychology and emotional intelligence applied to the classroom and cooperative work.

"The objective of these days is to show the teachers the latest scientific and didactic contributions, to find a common forum where they exchange experiences and good practices carried out in different educational centers of the Region and to promote educational innovation in the classroom," explained Esperanza Moreno.

The training is developed throughout the day, in the morning and afternoon, and will work in a practical and interactive way, through exhibitions and communications that integrate all participants.

In the morning a roundtable has been scheduled, where teachers from different centers in the region of Lorca will share the methodology and tools they use in their classrooms so that students learn in an innovative way, through cooperative challenges and multiple intelligences .

In addition, they will discuss how to achieve educational inclusion through chess.

Thus, the schools of Primary and Secondary Education Pasico Campillo and Juan Navarro, Lorca, and the institutes of Secondary Education Ramón Arcas Meca de Lorca and Ginés Pérez Chirinos de Caravaca de la Cruz will participate and will tell their experience.

The conference will highlight the importance of promoting student talent, how to strengthen emotional intelligence in the classroom and cooperative work as a way to work beyond teamwork.

They will conclude with a conference of experts in emotional education Verónica Cruz and Pedro Delgado.

Esperanza Moreno said that "for the regional government, it is a priority to meet the educational demands and continue to promote the quality of education through specialization and the acquisition of skills of teachers."
