The lack of civility and municipal control make Calvario Viejo a dunghill. For Pedro Sosa, a councilor of the United Left, it is already good to allow these urban landfills and demands that they begin to impose harsh sanctions on those responsible (14/07/2017)

It has also appealed to management and pet owners to avoid the unfortunate appearance of areas of the city by the accumulation of animal urine

Pedro Sosa, a spokesman for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the city of Lorca, has denounced this morning the unsanitary conditions that present several points in the Cabezo del Calvario Viejo area of San Cristóbal neighborhood, where large amounts of garbage accumulate.

Sosa has pointed out that the irresponsibility and lack of civism on the part of some neighbors of the zone are turning the place into a focus of infections and bad smells in a neighborhood that has been recently remodeled.

According to the mayor, this situation, which is repeated, is not attributable to cleaning services, but to the lack of municipal control, specifically the councils of Public Safety, Health and Urbanism.

The Security by the inadequate surveillance of the area, the Urbanism for not obliging the owners to maintain their plots and Sanitation for allowing these foci of unhealthiness.

"It can not be that large amounts of money are invested in this neighborhood so that in the end we have this," said the mayor.

Sosa says that we can not be repeatedly removing the tons of garbage that these incívicos throw, exposing the LIMUSA workers to catch any disease, and that we have to go to take letters in the matter, checking the garbage for clues that give information On those responsible and once clarified, impose sanctions and have to pay in full the withdrawal of these urban landfills.

The mayor of the left has also referred to the unfortunate appearance of street furniture in the city (street lamps, information signs, building corners) where the urine of dogs are accumulated and has made reference to a recent ordinance of the city council Of Mataró that will fine with 700 euros to the neighbors who do not dilute with water the urine of their pets.

For Sosa, the city council has to provide as many spaces as necessary for the dogs to meet their needs, but where this is not possible, the owners must be involved in the maintenance and health of the city.
