The PSOE assures that the ten years of government of the PP in Lorca are equal to ten of abandonment in the hamlet of Zarzadilla de Totana (03/08/2017)

Sánchez Jódar regrets that the Popular Party is condemning the hamlet of Zarzadilla de Totana to the largest of the abandoned, neglecting the most basic aspects of maintenance and care of the neighbors and neglecting the vast tourist potential of this area.

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca has denounced the "lamentable state of abandonment" presented by the hamlet of Zarzadilla de Totana, the result of "ten years of contempt and municipal neglect" by the Popular Party to this council.

In one of his last visits to the hamlet, the Socialists have been able to inspect the state of the main facilities and municipal services of Zarzadilla de Totana.

The mayor affirms that the current state of the deputation is the result of a "decade of zero investments" by the Popular Party, both for the creation of new spaces and, above all, for the "basic and elemental" maintenance of one of The districts "farthest from the city".

La Edil shares the general sentiment of the neighbors of this council, who with indignation suffer the consequences of a "manifest discrimination" and lament that their City Council "remember only to collect the taxes but not to keep in a decent conditions to their district" .

Sánchez Jódar warns that the abandonment is "palpable" as soon as he reaches the hamlet from Lorca.

The "much-needed" settlement of the C-9, road linking Lorca with Zarzadilla has been the subject of numerous electoral promises of the Partido Popular without having moved a single gram of asphalt.

Meanwhile, the only means of communication that the neighbors have with Lorca presents a state "dangerously poor".

The squares and parks of the hamlet reflect an obvious lack of cleanliness and maintenance.

The main square, next to the social center, was built in 2005 thanks to an investment of 25,000 euros from the former Socialist government.

Since then, 12 years later, the following governments, all of the PP, have condemned this place to "total abandonment" to promote the breakdown of the marble source, the deterioration of its furniture and failures in the irrigation systems of the gardens .

Sánchez Jódar denounces that the lack of maintenance has also made the multipurpose pavilion into a "real loft".

The breaking of the windows opens the door to nest birds inside, with the consequent accumulation of dirt.

The building has faults in the electrical system, which limits its use because the lighting both lasts only 25 minutes, and also damages in the toilets, dressing rooms, accesses not to mention the accumulation of weeds in the surroundings that gives an image of " ghost town"

The mayor also warned that the local youth association remains "solely and exclusively" with the care of its partners and the money of their quotas.

Broken windows, broken in walls and floor and damaged in their furniture reflect "years of abandonment" and "disinterest", mainly, the Councilman of Youth "who refuses even to provide painting so that these young people repent the walls" .

Cutbacks in Health also reach the hamlet.

The lack of medical personnel has led to a reduction in the number of days in which consultations are carried out and in addition to "unbearable delays" to be taken care of.

Another of the "shameful" problems that neighbors tell about and about which the PSOE has been insisting since "years ago" are the continuous failures in the tuning of the DTT signal, because these facilities are in very poor condition, with The wiring to the "intemperie".

The neighbors also accuse a lack of municipal strategy in favor of tourism development that, due to its wide potential, has this hamlet.

One of its main complaints, the public laundry, needs maintenance and cleaning, improvements in lighting, and above all, the completion of its environment to give continuity "thematic" to this wonderful enclave.

These shortcomings are compounded by a general lack of maintenance "manifested throughout the hamlet".

The streets need the replacement of many of the vertical road signs, the repainting of horizontal signaling as well as the resurfacing of most of the roads, which present numerous bumps.

Failures in the public lighting system and irrigation systems in parks and gardens are also "obvious", as well as the need to apply "hands of paint" in most urban furniture.
