The PSOE requires the PP to meet the requests of Lorca students and enable study rooms in a 24-hour schedule (14/08/2017)

The Lorca socialists describe as "genuine backwardness" that Lorca, by the opposition of the Popular Party, does not have study rooms enabled so that students can use it uninterruptedly, as it does in municipalities like Murcia, Cartagena or even Puerto Lumbreras.

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has once again demanded that municipal study rooms be enabled in a 24-hour schedule, in order to comply with the numerous demands of students of the municipality, who request this service in the city of Lorca , Especially now that the September test call is just around the corner.

Mazuecos reproaches the government team of the Popular Party, and in particular, its councilor for Culture and Youth, to continue to make "deaf ears" to the clamor that exists among Lorca students, who do not have spaces in the city with spaces for study and The preparation of their exams that offer a flexible and flexible schedule according to their demands.

In addition, Edil remembers that the PP councilman has on the table an agreement that was committed in the Plenary of April 2016, at the request of the PSOE, who have been working on this proposal for more than two years.

Mazuecos recalls that at that time, the Councilor for Culture assured that "soon" would open on a 24-hour schedule to various study rooms in the city of Lorca.

Specifically, the popular mayor spoke of a qualified in the former Barracks of the Local Police, now converted into the building Young Space M13, as well as another building in the School of Music and Arts.

Nevertheless, Mazuecos denounces that of that "soon" has already passed almost a year and a half.

Since then, the Popular Party, aware of the demands of Lorca students along with the requests and the work of the Municipal Socialist Group "has done nothing, and still does not care about what the group of students in Lorca claims."

The socialist councilor laments that while the Popular Party continues to despise these demands, many students are forced to move to the neighboring municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, where they do have this service so demanding.

From the PSOE lament that, for examples like this, Lorca is in the queue in matter of public services by the ineffectiveness of Popular Party.

In fact, the socialists describe as "genuine backwardness" that Lorca does not have this service, that they have, in addition to Puerto Lumbreras, municipalities such as Murcia or Cartagena.

In these cities, students can use these facilities to prepare their exams in an "uninterrupted" way thanks to the fact that they have domotic access systems, using an electronic key, a fingerprint or a card, as well as a closed circuit of " To facilitate the entrance of the students and, in addition, to guarantee the security of the users and the maintenance of these spaces.
