El Huerto Ruano will host an exhibition tribute to the lorquino Antonio Pinilla Rambaud, consul of Spain in Peru between 1919 and 1939 (12/09/2017)

The exhibition "Antonio Pinilla Rambaud, Life and Work" will open on September 12 in Huerto Ruano at 19 hours in the afternoon.

The activity will be attended by the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and will accompany Susana Pinilla, ex-admin of Peru, among other authorities

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with Susana Pinilla, ex-Peru, have presented the exhibition tribute to the lorquino Antonio Pinilla Rambaud when they are celebrated 130 years of its birth.

This lorquino was career diplomat performing his good work in numerous international destinations and leaving a great memory especially in Peru, where he was Consul of Spain during more than 20 years, between 1919 and 1939.

Other officials include the Peruvian ambassador to Spain, José Antonio García Belaunde, the ambassador of Panama to Spain, Milton Hernriquez, Ica's governor in Peru, Fernando Cilloniz, and the international expert in maritime and port logistics, Carlos García de Lastra.

After the inauguration, the auditorium of the Ramón Arcas Meca Institute will host a brief series of lectures on the life and legacy of Antonio Pinilla Rambaud.

The day will end with a wine of honor that the family will offer to the attendees in the gardens of the Palacio de Guevara.

The mayor of Lorca has stated that the importance of the figure of Antonio Pinilla lies in "its efficiency in the performance of its functions and in the great legacy it left in the productive, commercial and cultural relationship between both countries. his family and is of a high interest to know the semblance of this man, but also his work and the affection he always professed for the City of the Sun. "

For this reason, the City of Lorca and his family have organized an exhibition that will allow us to share some of their most valuable belongings such as documents, photographs or books.

Fulgencio Gil explained that this exhibition aims to "know more about his figure, the decades in which he served as a Consul in Peru and his legacy as a means to make known this singular man who must be rescued from oblivion for its transcendence" since "from Lorca we believe that it is a gesture of justice to celebrate this exhibition that pays homage to a lorquino who proudly carried the affection for his land all over the world."

The Mayor wanted to thank both the Lorca family and Dr. Susana Pinilla for making available to Lorca all the elements that make up the exhibition.

In this way, as Fulgencio Gil has mentioned, "all the neighbors of this great city will be able to enjoy a fundamental exhibition to meet a brilliant lorquino who still in the distance continued to remember and love Lorca, offering us a very valuable example to all we have the privilege of living in these streets. "
