The PSOE shows its concern at the rise of unemployment two consecutive months in Lorca (03/10/2017)

The number of unemployed has risen again in the municipality of Lorca, and there are already 5,108 people unemployed according to statistics for the month of September.

The councilor of the PSOE in the city of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has warned that the end of the summer season has once again exposed the "stark reality" that continue to cross thousands of unemployed people in the municipality of Lorca.

September leaves a new rise in unemployment in Lorca, and are already two consecutive months in which the number of unemployed climbs in the municipality, accompanied in turn by an increase in job insecurity.

Navarro says that the employment data that leaves the month of September in Lorca again show "the seasonal nature of employment generation linked, above all, to the services sector and the summer season, which has the consequence of increasing temporality and precariousness in employment ".

September leaves a new rise in the number of unemployed in Lorca, which is already 5,108 people who appear in unemployment statistics in the municipality, 22 more than the previous month and 205 more than in July.

In this sense, Navarro says that the increase in the numbers of unemployed, also has camouflaged "serious indicators that show that the precariousness and seasonality are still installed in the jobs that are created in the municipality of Lorca, as in the regional and national context ".

The socialist mayor says that "it is very worrisome" that it can not contain the "continuous increases" of unemployment in the municipality, due to the lack of "effective" policies that bring security, in the form of durable jobs and rights, to the market labor, keys to be able to speak of economic recovery.

Navarro affirms that it is still a "pending issue" to improve the quality of employment that it ensures is "fundamental" to consolidate a process of economic growth "for all".

The socialists denounce that with the current labor market, fueled by the nefarious policies of the PP, are creating very weak bases that will open a new crisis and a society poorer.
