The PSOE demands that the PP not ignore the complaints of the neighbors and manage better the works of regeneration that have average Lorca "legs up" (05/10/2017)

The socialists say that the works of urban regeneration are causing serious damage to the residents of Lorca and its economy due to poor management in planning and execution of them.

In addition, the circulatory chaos in which the city is plunged demands greater coordination through the Local Police with the companies that carry out the works to facilitate urban mobility and the promotion of urban public transport.

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, David Romera, has demanded that Gil Jódar and his team "attend the petitions and complaints of neighbors who are suffering the annoyances of urban regeneration works that, he says," have half Lorca upside down "by" no planning ".

Romera explained that they are "incessant" complaints that, every day, come from neighbors from different parts of the city that have to do with the development of urban regeneration works or the result of them.

The mayor has set the example of the works that are running in the Highlands of Lorca, where neighbors suffer "damp problems" in their homes every time it rains because of the leaks that occur through the pavement, due to the bad waterproofing and the lack of new rainwater networks.

In Los Angeles and Apolonia, he assures that the works of "fudge" have to be classified by the lack of control and municipal supervision;

in Juan Carlos I also are constant the complaints by the accumulation of dust and the lack of cleaning, as well as the chaotic situation by the traffic.

Romera said that many Lorca "are feeling unattended" because the City does not consider their complaints and requests.

From the PSOE they take into account that "all work generates discomfort and that are essential to relaunch the city", but these become unbearable "when its execution dilates for months and suffer delays, when the streets and dust in suspension are not suspended causes respiratory and eye discomfort to the population, when adequate preventive safety measures are not taken, when traffic is not sufficiently regulated or when deficiencies appear once the works are finished. "

On the other hand, Romera once again emphasized the chaotic situation in which the center of Lorca and its neighborhoods is in the face of bad planning, despite the fact that six and a half years have already passed since the earthquakes. calendar.

He assures that such chaos is affecting the accessibility to certain areas that have been isolated and to the economy of the city, as it is "palpable the continued closure of commercial establishments in the main arteries of Lorca" for lack of customers.

It also showed that it is necessary to implement, through the Local Police, a special plan for traffic management that envisages alternative routes, indicators that indicate the presence of areas in works cut to traffic or of available or dissuasive parking lots as well as the potentiation of public transport, which remains stagnant, so that Lorca leave the car at home.

Finally, the Socialist mayor concluded that the PP government team does not ignore the complaints and proposals of the residents affected by urban regeneration works;

that is vigilant in the execution of the same so that they develop with all the guarantees and to avoid the improper results and the results, being necessary the coordination with the adjudicatory companies;

and to better manage the development of such works that are necessary, but which are turning Lorca into an impassable city that is affecting internal mobility and its economy, as it is losing all its capacity to attract customers from neighboring regions that prefer go shopping to other places.
