The OJE de Lorca organizes, in collaboration with the City Council and the Youth Council, an activity in favor of Down Lorca to sensitize the youngest. The activity will be held in three sessions: the first will be on October 18 and will take place a (17/10/2017)

The Councilors of Youth and Oenegés of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas and Fatima Mínguez, respectively, together with the president of the Youth Council, Ricardo Trapero, and the President of Down Lorca, Jose Ortuño, presented this morning an activity organized by the LJE of Lorca in favor of Down Lorca.

Agustín Llamas said that "this initiative, which collaborates with the Youth Department and the Youth Council, has the objective of sensitizing young Lorca, hence the name" Get Awareness. "The activity will take place in three sessions: the first will be on October 18 and will take place in the local Lorca Down, the second will be held on October 26 in the space of the OJE Lorca, and the last will be held at the M13 on November 18 " .

Specifically, the first activity consists in sensitizing the children performing at the headquarters of Down Lorca different activities such as ballooning, origami and fantasy make-up, among others.

The second stage of this initiative, "Awareness", will take place at the home of the Lorca OJEO and will be a great party in which all children participate in a large chocolate and various games, including the handkerchief, chair explodes, the balloon ... The last activity, organized by the Youth Council, will be sports-themed, ie sports such as football, basketball and tennis, among others.

The Councilor for Youth stressed that "it is a commitment for users of Down Lorca have the opportunity to participate in playful sports dynamics with the necessary support, to be meaningful and mediate in interactions with the rest of young Lorca with the main objectives of this activity are the standardization of people with intellectual disabilities and the improvement of their interactions with society, especially with children of the same age, and to be able to acquire a good model of interaction with the environment to strengthen their good social skills. "

Fátima Mínguez, for his part, has stated that "from the City of Lorca we will continue to support projects of social inclusion of these characteristics, as we work on it convinced of their high profitability and social use.In fact we are very happy to work together with the Youth Council and Down Lorca, because they are two groups that always go one step further within the projects that materialize, always seeking to promote inclusion and respect through coexistence.
