IU-Greens encourages those affected by the devolution of earthquake aid to request technical reports justifying them (19/10/2017)

The councilor of this training, Gloria Martín, reported that these reports are the other legal way to justify the aid, which is already receiving dozens of affected residents.

An alternative that was also approved in the Ordinary Municipal Plenary of last September in which, by unanimous agreement of the Municipal Corporation, the technical services of the City Council were made available to interested parties so that they can prepare, after inspection of the works, said technical reports "which shall be free of charge.

The Councilor of the United Left-Greens, Gloria Martín, today encouraged those affected by the return of the aid of the Autonomous Community of Murcia (CARM) to register an application in the City Council so that the competent municipal technical services, after inspecting their homes, to prepare a technical report justifying the use of such aid.

Martín said that according to Article 10.1. B) of Decree 68/2011, of May 16, regulating the aid for the repair and reconstruction of houses affected by seismic movements, which occurred on May 11, 2011, in the municipality of Lorca, the justification of the recognized aid can be made, "by means of the presentation of the corresponding invoices issued in accordance with Royal Decree 1496/2003, of November 28", or, through "certification issued by a competent technician justifying the application of the aid for the repair of damaged housing. "

The mayor recalled that in view of the years since the completion of the works, many of those affected "do not keep all the bills for such repairs."

"Nor can they apply to the companies executing the works because the commercial documentation has already been destroyed by a legal period of conservation of four years, which is considered prescribed under Law 37/1992, dated December 28 , of the Value Added Tax ".

The reports are the other legal way to justify the aid, which is already receiving dozens of affected residents.

An alternative that was also approved in the Ordinary Municipal Plenary of last September in which, by unanimous agreement of the Municipal Corporation, the technical services of the City Council were made available to the interested parties so that they can elaborate them, after inspection of the works".

Such reports shall be free of charge.

Martín has tried, without success, to contact the Councilor for Management of Recovery after the earthquakes, Saturnina Martinez, to alert him of the massive request for such reports by those affected.

"Our intention was to provide the competent service with the necessary personnel to meet the needs of the victims, since they only have a period of fifteen days to plead that document in the procedures for reimbursement of the aid that has started CARM," he said. Martin.

However, he regretted that Saturnina Martinez "did not respond to my calls."

At City Hall refuse to give them an appointment

On the other hand, Martín has denounced that in the Mayor's office they are refusing to give quotations to the citizens who request to maintain an interview with the municipal councilor, Fulgencio Gil, on this problematic.

"They tell them, literally, that this is not a thing of the Mayor and that they go to the Office of the Earthquake", where, on the other hand, they also reproach them, literally, that many affected would spend the money of the aid in "going to the Caribbean ".

The mayor of IU-Greens lamented the lack of sensitivity of the local government team of the PP in this matter that, to this day, continues without informing the negotiations that maintains with the regional government to implement the agreements adopted in the Municipal Plenary of the City Council, and that they would solve this conflict.
