The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, and the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, today signed the collaboration agreement that finances the provision of home help service for dependents, for an amount of 1,153,000 euros.
According to the agreement between the Autonomous Community, through the Murciano Institute of Social Action, and the City of Lorca, the expected provision corresponds to the 2017, 2018 and 2019 annuities.
Violante Tomás explained that, "in the continuous improvement that we carry out to care for dependents, the Home Help Service of the Unit has been extended to nine new municipalities", which are Totana, Águilas, Alhama de Murcia, San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, Archena, Mazarrón, Yecla and Lorca, which are added to the existing ones of Abarán, Alcantarilla and Puerto Lumbreras ".
The budget will be allocated to actions in the homes of people in situations of dependency, in order to meet the needs of their daily lives.
They can be services related to household or household needs such as cleaning, washing, cooking, personal attention and activities of daily life.
Beneficiaries of the home help service are people who have recognized a situation of dependence in a protected degree and the right to this service through resolution of recognition of the right, in accordance with what is established in their Individual Care Program (PIA).
The service provides professional attention to these dependent persons in their homes, as well as a continuous monitoring of their situation by the Municipal Social Services.
