The PSOE forces an extraordinary plenary session to analyze the chaotic management of the works and propose measures in support of affected residents and businesses (04/12/2017)

In the term of fifteen days marked by the Law, the Popular Party will be obliged to explain to Lorca for the consequences that poor planning of the works are generating in the city, in a plenary session in which the Socialists will also take advantage to propose measures aimed at minimizing the damages that are causing the works to the neighbors and dealers affected

The signing of the eight councilors of the Municipal Socialist Group will serve so that in fifteen days, according to the law, in Lorca there will be a "public and monographic debate" to clear up the doubts and concerns that exist among the Lorca people about the works carried out and for the projects that are still pending to be executed in the city.

In addition, they hope that the conclusions of this Plenary will serve to improve the planning of the works, both current and pending.

Diego José Mateos has ensured that, after the social alarm that has been created among the society of Lorca, due to the "numerous inconveniences, errors and irregularities" in the execution of the works that have "raised the city", and the restlessness that also exists on the fulfillment and financing of pending projects, it is necessary to hold an extraordinary plenary session to give an account of the steps taken and those that are about to be executed.

The Lorca socialists seek to analyze and check the degree of compliance of the works that so many "headaches" are causing neighbors and, he insists, "go beyond the expected in any work."

Mateos assures that the objective of this plenary is to demand explanations and responsibilities about the "chaotic management" that the PP is taking with the works and to analyze in a "calm" way the pending projects "to avoid stumbling on the same stone".

With this full, Mateos also seeks to "put light" on the projects already completed and of which, still, the neighbors are paying the "disastrous consequences" of the "null" planning carried out by the Popular Party.

Also worrying is the forecast of the pending projects, in terms of terms and financing, since, remember, the deadline to justify the works that are still to be carried out with charge to the EIB ends in December 2018, so it is "urgent" to analyze the forecasts and adopt as many measures as are necessary so as not to jeopardize the financing of "still pending" projects.

Remember that, in just one year, large-scale projects "as yet unfinished" will have to be justified as the remaining sections of the Round;

Jerónimo Santa Fe;

San Antonio or Cristo Rey;

among many others.

This forecast must be accompanied, he insists, by a "rigorous and calm" planning of the works still pending.

The objective, he assures, is to avoid repeating the "chaos" like the one that is generating the works of the Avenue or the "numerous damages" in Apolonia and Los Angeles.

In fact, another of the points on which the socialists will focus is to provide and demand "measures" so that neighbors and businesses affected by the "chaotic" execution of the works can mitigate the consequences of these.

Among others, they demand direct aids for the affected businesses, or other measures, such as that the blue zone is "free" for the neighbors who for the works can not make use of their parking spaces in the residents' area.

In the plenary session, Mateos will also demand explanations, among others, for the delay in the reception of the Villaescusa Palace works, as well as for the delay in the beginning of the recovery works of the hermitage of San Lázaro, whose works continue without starting even though its start was announced for June 2017.
