Cazalla Intercultural launches two European projects in Lorca for young people to be sensitized against racism and gender violence (12/12/2017)

In the "New genderation" program, it aims to prevent and combat gender violence, local, national and international activities, such as workshops, summer camps and awareness campaigns, seminars and conferences, among others;

while in "Star Project", whose purpose is to prevent violent radicalization, two programs will be carried out: "Lorca Libre de Racismo" by Cazalla Intercultural and "No hate speech on line" by Szansa (Poland)

The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, the General Director of Youth of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Fran Sánchez, and the representative of Cazalla Intercultural, Manuel Semitiel, presented this morning two youth projects, New genderation and Star Proyect, for Lorca to become aware of two fundamental aspects of our current society: racism and gender violence.

Agustín Llamas explained that "the New Genderation program aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence among young people, offering them learning processes for action on gender sensitivity, which lasts two years and is coordinated by Cazalla Intercultural together with the partners Szansa of Poland and PEN of Bulgaria and financed by the Program of Rights, Equality and Citizenship of the European Union (2014 2020) ".
