The Governing Council has approved, at the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, a subsidy of 449,806 euros to the owners of Casa Los Arcas de Lorca for restoration and consolidation.
This action is included in the Master Plan for the Recovery of the Cultural Heritage of Lorca, which establishes coordination and joint actions for the total recovery of the historic-artistic complex of the City of the Sun after the earthquakes of May 11, 2011.
This building, a nineteenth-century manor house, located on Lope Gisbert Street, has a degree of protection 2. During the earthquakes suffered considerable damage that make it necessary to undertake its recovery, which has a total budget of 545,548 euros, of which the Autonomous Community contributes almost 450,000 and the rest the owners.
The action will be financed with a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the Lorca earthquake.
