The PSOE demands Gil Jódar less triumphalism, more transparency in hiring and more support for young people and the long-term unemployed (21/12/2017)

Navarro ensures that the City of Lorca suspends "loudly" in the matter of hiring public employment.

During the local employment table, the Socialists once again demanded that personal interviews be eliminated in the City's employment selection processes and that the deadline for registration in the calls be extended to one month in order to guarantee the greatest possible transparency and publicity

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has taken stock of the local employment table, in which the mayor Gil Jódar returned to show an "unjustified triumphalism" because in his assessment "forgot" to recognize that unemployment has registered the last months in the municipality a "very disturbing rebound".

In fact, Navarro remembers that since Gil Jódar inherited the Mayor's Office, in Lorca there are 115 more unemployed, reaching the current figure of 5,203 unemployed Lorca.

Navarro has shown his concern about the "negative" trend that has registered the creation of employment in the municipality, especially during the last six months.

Data that, he assures, hides the Mayor and that they demonstrate the instability of the labor market and the inefficiency of the employment policies applied by the Popular Party in Lorca.

Therefore, Navarro asks the current Mayor to "get off the cloud" and be aware of the reality that thousands of unemployed Lorca.

The Socialists say that it is necessary to "redouble" efforts to offer "stable" employment opportunities, especially to the group of young people and unemployed people over 45 years of age, since "they continue to be the ones who find the most difficulties".

Navarro is committed to continue expanding the training offered to unemployed people.

Ensures that we must continue to move forward in the "recycling" of people who have no job "expanding the range of training" to give "more opportunities to those who suffer the most drama of not finding a job".

In terms of public employment, Navarro again showed the disagreement of the Lorca socialists with the "dubious ways" that the Popular Party maintains when hiring staff.

Ensures that the lack of transparency continues to be installed in the personnel selection processes.

Navarro noted a battery of proposals with which the PSOE wants to "eradicate opacity" and ensure "neatness" in the selection process.

The Socialist responsible again asked that all selection processes, both for mixed employment and training programs, as for municipal employment and mixed capital companies, ie in Aguas de Lorca and Limusa, extend the registration period in the selection processes up to a month, to ensure maximum publicity and transparency.

In addition, they ask that a syllabus be defined for each test;

that all the questions of the examination are of that agenda and that the election of the subjects is carried out "by lottery, just before" of the accomplishment of the tests.

In addition, they insist that the draw be "public and with the aspirants as eyewitnesses."

Likewise, they once again demanded the elimination of personal interviews in the selection processes, except in cases in which they are advised by the characteristics of the job or, at least, that the score that can be reduced to the "minimum" is obtain through this tool that Navarro, he says, "makes a selection process that must be objective subjective".
