The Community calls for new aid for the reconstruction of 400 homes in Lorca (23/12/2017)

The deadline for submitting applications ends on January 23

The Autonomous Community calls for public aid for the reconstruction of 400 homes in Lorca, as a result of the damage suffered after the earthquakes of 2011, and that have not yet been able to access aid for its construction.

The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) publishes today the call for aid whose deadline for submission of applications ends on January 23.

These subsidies for the development of Rehabilitation and Urban Regeneration Areas (ARRU) in the Region of Murcia, are framed in the 2017 Housing Plan, promoted by the Autonomous Community and the Ministry of Development.

The counselor of the Presidency and Development, Pedro Rivera, said that public subsidies of this call amount to nearly 3 million euros, "adding them to the previous two make a total of more than 5.5 million euros of direct aid that, in global terms, will mean the improvement of 809 homes ".

In addition to the call published today in the BORM, they have already been granted more than 363,000 euros in aid for the rehabilitation of 277 homes, and more than 1,760,000 euros for the reconstruction of another 132 under the ARRU program of Lorca.

Pedro Rivera stressed that these new aid reinforce the commitment of the regional executive with the reconstruction of Lorca, and "are a new opportunity for Lorca who could not receive extraordinary aid for earthquakes by not meeting the requirements or because they did not get enough compensation of the Insurance Compensation Consortium to pay the costs of rebuilding their homes. "

"The aid is intended for all those homes that are still under reconstruction, both for those that are being rebuilt with a larger area than the ones already had the demolished houses and for the construction of garages in those buildings that they did not have before," he explained. the counselor, who indicated that the beneficiaries of this call may execute the proceedings until October 31, 2018.

New or ongoing reconstruction works will be subsidized and may reach 30,000 euros for each house built to replace another previously demolished.

80 percent of the subsidy will be advanced upon presentation of the municipal license and the certificate of commencement of work, and the remaining 20 percent will be paid once the final signed work certificate has been submitted and after justification of the subsidy.

The presentation of applications may be made in person at the Ministry of Presidency and Development or telematics, in the case of communities of owners, through the Single Registry of the Autonomous Community using the form available at the electronic site (sede.carm. is).
