The Councilor for Statistics of the City of Lorca, Francisco García, this morning offered a balance of the result of the two years of implementation of the management program of the Municipal Register of Inhabitants linked to the Territorial Information System called SIT-Lorca, which has as objective a better identification of the domiciles and give a greater visibility of the territorial distribution of the population.

Francisco García has reported that "since the implementation of this new system was carried out in 2015, a remarkable advance has been made in the relationship between the population structure and the territorial structure, with the realization of the geographic reality of nuclei and unique entities within the population and territorial set of the municipality of Lorca.At the same time, this new system of identification of housing has also allowed them to be related to the cadastral reference, thus avoiding certain errors in the domicile of enumeration.

The Councilor for Statistics has added that "since that year, and supported by the new digital cartography, work has been done on territorial review of the municipality of Lorca, both checking the set of territorial administrative entities that make up the Nomenclator, (districts, places, ..) as identification of roads and / or streets without denomination ".

García, on the other hand, has indicated that "regarding the territorial division of the municipality, 10 new entities have been corrected or created with their corresponding street and trameros, having proposed their ratification to the National Institute of Statistics that has incorporated them into the Nomenclator of Entities of Lorca, these incorporations or corrections have been made in the councils of Campillo, Escucha, Pozo Higuera, Purias, Rio, Morata and la Tova ".

The Edil de Estadística has indicated that "in regard to the work of identification of roads without denomination began by the districts of the garden, more populated and close to the municipal capital, and progressively is moving towards other more distant and less populated areas, although street maps are also updated in all the existing nuclei in the municipality, which have resulted in the identification and subsequent approval of denominations of some 60 roads between 2016 and 2017, most of them concentrated in the Purias councils , Rio, Grill and Listening, but without forgetting the incorporations in La Paca, Aguaderas or La Hoya.These annexes to the street have meant that, together with the replacements of lost or deteriorated plates, more than 200 plates have been placed in the last 2 years, always with the purpose of facilitating the identification of each one of the routes and, therefore, of the domiciles existing in them ".

Francisco García explained that "as a complementary work, the numbering of each of the buildings destined for housing or existing businesses has been done on all the updated roads, thus composing a cartographic situation of preliminary works to the physical numbering of these constructions. , in which each one of these is perfectly identified territorially from their Collective, Singular and Nuclei or Disseminated Entities and from the denomination of the road in which they are located and the number that corresponds to them, thus facilitating the correct identification of the addresses. "

Councilman Statistics has added that "the information obtained has led to make changes to the registration registration to correctly locate citizens in the ways and numbers that correspond to them, accounting for a total of 11,200 administrative changes of address between 2016 and 2017 Therefore, a significant number of indefinite routes and numerations have been eliminated, such as those considered without number (indicated so far in the census with 9.999) or the types of road whose name is the one of place or place and which did not correctly identify the addresses. .

Garcia, finally, said that "despite these continuous work in previous years, there is still much territory of the municipality to review and there are many homes still undefined, about 3,000, being planned to undertake next year the corresponding , almost 40 percent, to the districts of Marchena, Rio, Parrilla, Aguaderas and La Escucha, roads and streets of the latter whose processing is being finalized with the aim of being submitted to the approval of the Plenary, at the beginning of the year. It will also entail, as has happened so far, modifications in the numbering of homes, since they have to adapt to the one corresponding to the road (road or street) in which they are located ".
