The Governing Council has approved, at the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, a provision of 80,600 euros to the Brotherhood of Labradors Paso Azul de Lorca, to finance operating expenses of the Blue Museum of Holy Week.
The Hermandad de Labradores Paso Azul has among its priority objectives the dissemination of its heritage as a testimony of the historical and artistic legacy linked to the Holy Week of Lorca, one of the most peculiar manifestations of the Region of Murcia.
Its origin dates back to the sixteenth century and has among its collections a rich heritage that includes goldsmithing, metalwork, carvings, equestrian art and leather goods, as well as its photographic archive.
Highlights the set of embroidered textiles (banners, cloaks, costumes, flags, accessories of thrones, etc.) that each year offer the public an authentic recreation of the biblical and Redemption Shrines on the occasion of the processions of Holy Week and between that there are six pieces declared Assets of Interest.
